Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of SparkyLog. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. We’ve kept the language as plain as a terms page reasonably can be — questions go to admin@sparkylog.app.
1. What SparkyLog is
SparkyLog is a browser-based job management and expense tracking app for self-employed electricians, available in the UK, USA, Canada, Ireland and Australia. It lets you log jobs, quotes, invoices, mileage and expenses, and generate a summary report of your income and costs.
2. Your account
- You must provide accurate information when creating your account, and keep your login details secure
- You’re responsible for all activity that happens under your account
- One account is intended for one individual sole trader — SparkyLog is not currently built for multi-user team accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
3. Plans and billing
| Plan | Price | Billing |
|---|---|---|
| Free | £0 | No card required, no expiry |
| Pro | £9.99/month | Billed monthly via Stripe, cancel anytime |
Pro is a rolling monthly subscription with no minimum term. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Subscription, or by emailing admin@sparkylog.app. Cancelling stops future billing but doesn’t refund the current billing period — see our Refund Policy for the full detail on refunds and cancellations.
We may change Pro pricing in future. If we do, we’ll give existing subscribers advance notice before any new price applies to them.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use SparkyLog for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to access another user’s account or data
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the app’s operation
- Resell or redistribute access to SparkyLog without our written permission
5. Your content
Job records, customer details, quotes, invoices and expense data you enter belong to you. We don’t claim ownership of your business data, and we don’t use it for anything beyond providing the service to you. You can export your data at any time from Settings, and you can request deletion of your account and data — see our Privacy Policy for how that works.
6. Not tax, legal, or financial advice
7. Service availability
We aim to keep SparkyLog available and reliable, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted access. We may occasionally need to take the app offline for maintenance or updates, and we’ll try to keep any disruption brief.
8. Limitation of liability
SparkyLog is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the app, including errors in calculated figures (mileage, tax estimates, or otherwise) that you rely on without independent verification. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t legally be limited, such as liability for fraud.
9. Termination
You can stop using SparkyLog and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, misuses the service, or is used fraudulently. Where reasonably possible, we’ll give notice before doing so.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time — the “last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continuing to use SparkyLog after an update means you accept the revised terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. This doesn’t remove any statutory consumer protections you’re entitled to in your own country.
